Ricky Garcia is a 25-year-old ambitious and talented journalist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is currently the lead morning news producer for KRQE/Fox New Mexico. 

Ricky began his career in news in 2018. With zero news experience, Ricky worked on a number of shows gathering skills in just four months to land his own show. Over the last few years, Ricky has really developed a passion for storytelling and takes pride in bringing stories that matter to his viewers.

In 2017, Ricky graduated from the University of New Mexico with a major in Broadcast Journalism. Prior to news Ricky worked as a Social Media and Website Content Manager for the City of Albuquerque. He also worked on the City’s events team and communication team for the mayor’s office.

When Ricky is not working, he enjoys hiking, trying new things, skiing, singing, and spending time with friends and family.
